Sega says development of its first ‘Super Game’ is progressing steadily

“To achieve this goal and elevate the business to the next level, we are conducting R&D activities to create a ‘Super Game,’ a major title that scales globally, by the fiscal year ending March 2026.”

Utsumi also commented: “We are also making steady headway in development of the ‘Super Game’ that we are seeking to create in the medium to long term. As the name implies, a ‘Super Game’ involves the concept of a game that stands head and shoulders above normal games.

“I encourage stakeholders to look forward to the fruit of our efforts, which include R&D to create a game that builds a whole worldview involving the entire gaming ecosystem, including not only players but also streamers who stream the game and their viewers”.

This sound Interesting from Sega I wounder what kind of game It will turned out to be thought.

I don't want to be a drag, but the whole thing sounds like corporate awful. I'm curious as to what the hell they mean though.

Hyenas was its first super game and they cancelled it within days of beta. It’s going to be more of the same. If it’s aimed at streamers it’s going to be a live service game.

What's the difference supposed to be? How was it more streamer friendly than something like WoW or Fortnite, from what you saw?

What is a super game? Multi platform? Or just popular?

Pokemon, Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite come to mind as being Super games as they are all accessable to most ages accross different consoles and devices. Do they mean similar???

Curious though what they are cooking up
