These pitches were quite a long time ago, right? It's probable that there are different people on the team now from back then.

I wonder how many game pitches SEGA turned down over the years, and I don't mean just Sonic games.
- Sonic Extreme, that Xbox skateboarding game
- This Climax Studios Sonic game pitch
- There was at least 1 Streets of Rage game pitch
- At least 1 Golden Axe game pitch
- There was a Crazy Taxi game pitch (SEGA owns Crazy Taxi, right?)
- There was a Jet Set Radio game pitch
