Last night is not the sole factor in my opinion. During previous events, judgements have been made that I personally did not agree with. This is just another factor.

However, last night did have some good points; seeing Mark Hamill being recognized was a pleasant surprise.

There's only been one previous event. What happened last year that was out of turn exactly?

Why do people keep complaining about Xenoblade not being nominated when it just came out today? Not only has nobody on the Judge's panel had time to play it, nobody here has had the chance either.

I recall hearing a statement by Keighley weeks ago that Xenoblade is eligible next year because of this. Even though it was released this year, it wasn't in time for the Game Awards proper.

I feel like it would be better if TGA was in February, so the year is actually over and people have had enough time to process everything.

The only game award that I outright object to is the Best Performance award. Hamil should've had that one in the bag.
