People don't hate Sonic. They just hate the shitty Sonic games, which have become more frequent lately.

What do you mean, the only legit bad Sonic game that came out in recent memory is Rise of Lyric. Most of the recent Sonic games were either ok to pretty good, it's much more complex than just "oh well, everyone just hates the games".
