Once your buddies have been allocated it's really up to both of you to organise stuff, so basically whatever timescale you agree. The exchange usually goes down over the course of a few weeks.

I just finished compiling my playlist (whoever's partnering up with me is going to get a special 2-disc set~ and maybe some other bonus material), but it'll be subject to change over the course of the next week and once I find out who my partner is.

I'll probably organise mine on Monday. I'll warn whoever is paired up with me, mine will be two discs long. I'll try and make each song flow into the next, and put in random interludes

I LOVE trying different genres, and my musical tastes are very broad and eclective, so I wouldn't worry I'll try my best to make my offering as diverse and interesting too!
