Did anyone get the Genkibowl VII DLC? Honestly, I was kinda disappointed. It had some crazy ideas and the minigames do work it's just they weren't so fun to play. All but one of the new activities were just "Genki-fied" versions of already existing games. Angry Tiger's Apocalypse Genki was just more of the original Genki minigame. Super Ethical PR Opportunity was just escort with different requests. Although Sexy Kitten Yarngasm was just Tank Mayhem in a different vehicle it's the only enjoyable minigame for me. Then again who wouldn't want to casual stroll around town in a giant ball of yarn? The only new minigame is Sad Panda's Skyblazing. It's just not fun at all. If anything all Genkibowl VII has done is just weird me out. It's heart is certainly in the right place and there are some good ideas but that's not enough for me to enjoy it

Genkibowl VII was a waste of money, I wanted some new Saints gang related missions with cutscenes but I guess that was wishful thinking .

And Sad Panda's Skydiving was not fun, the only one I like was the one where you control a giant ball of yarn.

Has anyone here made a decent set of characters? I wanna upload mine but I don't know how. I've made Mario, Knuckles, a Shy Guy, Travis Touchdown, and just recently I made Groose, and with the exception of Shy Guy and Knuckles they all came out looking really good.

So I played through the Gangsters in Space DLC recently. I'm actually kind of disappointed. When I heard about it I assumed that going to space would just be the logical progression of what the Saints needed to do, but it's just a movie. There's basically an extended turret sequence, then a corridor shooter level, then a level that has you flying around in a VTOL like aircraft.

So anyone get The Trouble with Clones DLC that came out today? I got it and I have to say it's the worst pack so far. Johnny Gat was my favourite character in the Saints Row series (besides myself) until now because of what they've done to him. It's horrible. I certainly hope that this isn't canon.

The missions were not too shabby, highlights was Pierce singing Aisha songs and having super powers in the last mission. But the stupid thing about it is you don't get anything outside of the mission. In the last 2 DLC packs you got a lot of things out of it like cars, costumes, homies etc. What do you get out of this? A car with a giant horn strapped onto it and 2 Brute homies. You get to use a gun which fires Bees at people and have super powers (which is super punches, fireballs and super sprinting, which is bloody fun to use) and you can only use them in missions.

Overall I really don't recommend it unless you're after it's achievements (which once again if you miss out on one you have to load up a different save file and start the missions all over again).

Now that I see what some developers can do to a character you love, I can now sympathise with Megaman fans.

I don't understand why they offed Johnny Gat at the beginning of the game anyway... Pierce is nothing compared to Johnny...

And how they offed him off in the first place was disrespectful. Having one of the most loved and iconic characters in the game killed off in the second mission, and off screen as well, is an absolutely terrible way to do it. I was almost in tears when you had to kill Carlos in the second game and we barely knew a thing about the guy. With this I couldn't believe how lazy they made it.

Thank you my good sir, I was just about to buy this DLC pack thinking I could use the super powers in game hub world and stuff. In missions only sucks imo.

I got the Season Pass free with the PC version, so luckily I can't be too disappointed at this news. Either way...

...I have the Gentlemen of Steelport Super Mod to keep me happy for now. It pretty much fixes and changes everything you could want in the game. Sure it's in earlier stages right now, but that doesn't stop it from being so damn hilarious. Just look at what it did to Colonel Sanders!

The whole idea behind The Trouble with Clones is an avid Saints fan has been for months collecting pieces of Johnny's stuff so he can create an exact clone of him. However when he fired the cloning machine up out popped a Johnny Gat in Brute form and the missions revolve around you trying to capture and befriend the abomination. It's horrible what they did with Johnny by killing off in the first place, but to have him come back as this one-dimensional brute is another.

This isn't the first we've heard of Saints Row 4. Ahead of last year's launch of Saints Row: The Third THQ core games boss Danny Bilson confirmed it was already in the early stages of development.

"I already know what Saints Row 4 is about, and it is wilder than this one," he said. "It's a good example of how you take what you have and you say, 'What can happen in the next?'"

THQ has shipped over 11 million units in the Saints Row franchise globally, making the sandbox action game the publisher's most successful owned IP. So far more than 4.25 million units of Saints Row: The Third have been shipped.

New THQ President wants different things for SR4

What would Saints Row be without the VTOL jets and giant purple dildos? I'm not sure myself, but recently crowned THQ president and Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin wants to find out. In an interview with Polygon, Rubin aired his grievances over Saints Row 3's tone and crass humor and his intention to change that in future entries.

"Why couldn't that be a Red Dead Redemption or a Skyrim?" Rubin asked. "I look at that title and I say, ‘Who cares what it is and why it got to be what it is? From that team we can make something that isn't embarrassing."

For clarification, Rubin is not saying the quality of the game is embarrassing but that its mature comedic presentation, that limits the game's potential audience, is embarrassing. That Rubin would openly state his dislike of the game's humor and his intentions to change the game are a bit upsetting as a series fan. Before Saints Row found its voice and over-the-top sensibilities, it was just a next-gen Grand Theft Auto clone. In this instance, bringing Saints Row back to its roots would not be a good thing.

"[Mature humor] works for South Park, but I'm not sure it does elsewhere," Rubin said. "I don't think (Volition) chose to do what they did because they had all of the options available to them. It was the environment at the time ... I know I can change that."

The Expansion Pack "Enter The Dominatrix" which was THQ's answer to people who wanted the Super Powers outside the Enter the Clones DLC, is going to be merged into Saints Row 4

"When I looked at the Enter The Dominatrix expansion in production at Volition, I was blown away by the ideas and desire to expand the fiction of the franchise,” said Jason Rubin, THQ’s President. “I asked the team what it could achieve given more time, more resources, and a broader scope for the project. We all agreed we wanted to play that game. When it comes to Saints Row, it’s clear our fans want bigger, better, and even more over the top, and that’s why Enter The Dominatrix will now be incorporated into a vastly expanded, full-fledged sequel, scheduled for calendar 2013.”

Seems a bit early to be doing SR4. thought it would be on Next Gen Systems. Though there was alot of things I wasn't happy with in SR3, I hope they take Fan complaints and adress them in SR4.
