So I was on my Blackberry's App Store, and I figured "SEGA must have made a Sonic game for the blackberry." So, I searched for Sonic, and... There was a Sonic game on there. 2 In fact. But it was made... BY EA!

I figured, "Theres no way this can be real." So i went onto EA mobiles website, and sure enough, They was there.

So what are your thoughts on this?

They're probably just publishing since Sega hasn't been doing that since Sonic Café.

This, right?

If so, it looks like Sonic the Hedgehog 1 with Sonic Advance HUD plastered together.

It's not very pretty looking as the respective games in their respective eras. Their styles both clash with each other in a horrible way. |:

lol @ the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 page displaying gameplay footage of Sonic Jump

Both of these games are part of Sonic Team's Sonic Café series, they just happened to be published by EA overseas. 'Tis no biggy.

Speaking of which, we seriously need an English release of Sonic Bowling already goddommot. That game looks awesome.

So hardly different from Nintendo publishing Rush Adventure in Korea then.

  • 10 years later...

I know this thread is quite old and it can be considered a spam. But, I've found EA versions of Sonic 1 & Sonic 2 for BREW, the EA versions for J2ME still need to be found. There were EA versions of those games for not only BREW, but also Java. It was on the EA mobile website from 2009 - 2010.

Does anyone have this game on a J2ME (Java ME) Phone as a Collection? Please Inbox me & share it to me as I'm still doing research for the J2ME versions.

There is an early port of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game for low-end (120x160) BREW devices from Verizon & This one Motorola V265. Motorola v265 is mostly translated to Brazilian-Portuguese and has some Tectoy credits. It seems to be near identical from the one in the video.
