Would Sonic make a good candidate in Playstation Allstars Battle Royal?

How do you not "belong" in a crossover game exactly?

 

Because it was designed along a specific theme (celebrating Sony's history), but then half the roster was chosen by throwing darts at the wall and picking whatever character it landed on rather than by any relation they actually had to Sony (or aesthetics, for that matter). Sonic would only make it worse.

 

 

 

99% of the characters in All Stars Royale use a weapon. Can't be Sonic, at the least Shadow could get in.

Kratos was in both Mortal Kombat and PSAS, so one can be in a variety of fighters, just in regards to the idea one can only be in one. It just really depends if you fit with the theme.

 

Sonic's not really a big Playstation name so he wouldn't fit the theme.

 

If he was included as a third party, it'd be solely because of his gaming reputation, but there are plenty of other characters that could steal that spot before him.

 

This isn't counting the fact they couldn't get Crash Bandicoot or Spyro in, so heaven help them trying to secure the rights to a title that's not associated with Sony.

 

Would it be nice? Of course.

 

Would it happen? Probably not.

 

They really need to make a fighter game someday that's not focused on one platform. But that would require all three console companies set aside their differences and lolnope that'll never happen. Greed's a powerful force.

PlayStation All Stars mainly uses multi platform characters anyway, and they don't fit in. Sonic wouldn't really work. If Sonic ever did happen to get in, everyone would mock Sony for not having original characters.

He's not a Playstation Allstar to begin with, and he's already in Brawl. But I think he might be a good character in that game.
