Sonic Movie 3 Ben Schwartz Reveals Sonic 3 Voice Recording Has Begun

Sonic the Hedgehog's movie voice actor, Ben Schwartz, has publicly announced that recording for the upcoming Sonic 3 sequel is officially underway.

The 'Parks and Rec' star revealed the news on his social media account last night. "On your marks. Get set. Go. My Sonic Movie 3 recording has officially begun," reads the post.

The highly-anticipated third Sonic movie, which will feature the introduction of Sonic's dark doppelgänger Shadow the Hedgehog, has had a bit of a stop-start production, with on-location scenes in London halted in 2023 (and eventually resuming with a limited non-actor scope) due to SAG-AFTRA union action.

With the starting gun on the project's voice recording well and truly fired, it would seem that most of the movie's shooting delays have come to an end. With a release of December 2024 for Sonic 3, it won't be too long before we all hear the final result of Ben's time in the booth.

So, according to this post from Ben himself, his recording on the third Sonic movie has begun. Strange, I thought he would have begun already, but okay. I wonder when this will end?

Probably a delay in this due to strike, but also, its the cgi which takes up most time. Good news, means we are on track for a Dec release!!!

cant wait! i was sort of secretly hoping for a delay, as im busy during the release and cant see it until much later... but yknow. its good theyre on track. ill dodge spoilers best i can.
