Sonic 2 Speed run Physics, iOS.

So I love Sonic 2 and I uploaded this video of the fastest time that I have recorded on camera.

Notice anything strange?

 

This port of Sonic 2 must have different physics to the original series. The evidence I think points to this is at this moment in the video,

Normally as Sonic passes over this part of the course he just runs off it, but in this example he kind of runs down it.

 

So has anyone else experienced this and does it even matter?

You pretty much summed it up, I thought at first you were talking about the differences between the other game which used to be a page on sonic retro (it'll be up later) but yeah the physics aren't EXACT or anything!

Well, it's not a port, they literally remade the entire game (along with Sonic 1 and Sonic CD) using their Retro engine so it's not too surprising that they wouldn't be able to recreate everything exactly. Just how these things go.
