ARTWORK: Stingray's Scribbles

I'm no professional, but I like to doodle a lot. Here are some little things I've made.

This is the idea behind my old username before the crash. [sonicophage]

Just a little joke a made a while ago. Influenced by when Sonic uses a hammer in Sonic Advance 3 when he's paired with Amy.

I haven't actually played MadWorld yet, but I've seen a lot of the over-the-top stuff that happens in it, so I challenged myself to see if I could create something even more over-the-top than any of that stuff. So here's the result: A giant bazooka that shoots tanks covered in hot sauce and testosterone.

Industriagon, a dragon made out of construction site stuff. To get more in depth, it's got a steamshovel head, bulldozer body, piston legs, wreckingball tail, and wings made out of tarp and bent steel girders.

This is an idea I had for a zone: rt76j32kp490 Zone. Basically, the premise is that Eggman accidentally releases a virus that glitches up the game and Sonic has to find and destroy it before the disk is corrupted. Sorry for the bad quality; it was an old scanner.

Another zone idea: Microcosm Zone. Sonic is shrunk to a microscopic level and uses germs as platforms. It's the shortest level in Sonic history at a whopping one millimeter long. Again, sorry for the bad quality.

Influenced by NC's recent take on Moonwalker. Are you okay, Amy? You've been struck by... a Smooth Scientist.

Wow, you're highly creative, SuperStingray, and you have such innovative ideas! I love how you draw facial expressions and machinery. I always find machines so hard to draw, but you pull them off really well, and you have great perspective to boot; kudos to you!

You definitely seem to have an awesome mind that can conjure up lots of original and unique ideas. A giant bazooka that shoots tanks covered in hot sauce and testosterone? A dragon made of parts of machines used at a construction site? Not only are these endearingly quirky and different ideas, but you drew them awesomely well too, love the little details you put in them. Awesome stuff.

And those Sonic levels are just amazing; they're innovative and just awesome... I could see them really working well as actual levels. The microscopic level looks epic, and I love how the glitch level is so all-over-the-place as if it's in debug mode (404: Hedgehog not found ), that'd certainly be fun and interesting to play in. You should be a level-designer or a concept artist!

...Did I mention Eggman looks very snazzy in that outfit?

Heh, thanks. Honestly I wasn't really trying to make them professional looking; I just like to scribble ideas and hope they come out cool.

Isn't that what art's all about?:P If you enjoy making it, then it's always a job well done.

Anyway, I like the humorous nature of the pictures. Especially the bakzooka the shoots tanks.... we might actually see that in a game very soon. We never know.

Also. I always wanted to ask you this, but your avatar and that top picture, is that a Sonic Virus?

One can hope. But I demand royalties! Either way, reloading might be a chore.

Yes. Based on the T4 Bacteriophage to be precise. I have an interest in all microscopic organisms (or non-organisms as the case may be for viruses :P), but the phage specifically draws me because it looks like a crystal-headed robot spider. Edited by SuperStingray

Alright, new one. Based on the previous Industriagon, here's another one... made of office supplies. Less intimidating, I know, but staple removers always reminded me of serpentine mouths. So introducing Bureacragon. Staple remover head, ruler neck, TI calculator body, scissor and post-it wings, paperclip feet and a stapler tail.

Ahahaha, fantastic.

I love the Industriagon. Looks like something you'd find in a Banjo-Kazooie game.

I hadn't thought about that, but I can definitely see it now that you mention it. I can hear the Banjo-Tooie boss intro music when I look at it now. :)

I really like your doodles, heehee! They're very funny and unique, especially Moonwalker Eggman (made me laugh XD) and the Industriagon. I also have to say that the latter and the new Bureacragon are pretty damn detailed. Great job~ I wish to see more of these dragon-like creatures sometime in the future! =3
