The Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure has received its first brand new downloadable content in nearly twenty years, thanks to the efforts of the Dreamcast community. This new DLC, called “Tikal’s Challenge,” has players traveling back to the past as Sonic to find five chao lost in the ancient echidna city. They’re tasked with finding the chao as quickly as possible, and bringing them to the Master Emerald shrine.

Greenman Gaming is selling ten of Sonic’s biggest titles for $26.95 American. Titles included are…
Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing

Sonic 4: Episode 1
Sonic Adventure 2

That’s pretty much Sonic’s main gaming history not including side games and Colors. Even if you have these games on other consoles, it’d be kinda nice to have them all together on your P.C. Don’tcha think? It doesn’t say when this sale ends, but I’m sure it won’t last too long.
Let’s kick off the New Year of Freak-Out Fridays with an oldie but a goodie!
One day, UltramasterBDJ discovered the unholy magic of Action Replay.
And then he had a bit too much fun with his Sonic Gamecube titles.
Sonic Adventure DX: Director’s Cut, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Heroes, and Shadow the Hedgehog are put to the test in this 20+ minute compilation of hacks and laughs! Part 2 is found after the jump!
Now here’s a classic!
Now how many of you aren’t familiar with Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive? It’s only been played a million times over the past few decades!

We’ve seen Professor Pickle get modded into Unleashed thanks to Melpontro… We’ve seen him tackle a whole pack of robots through his homeland and neighbouring countries…
…but now, he sets foot on Angel Island’s Red Mountain zone.

TIME TO JAM!
That’s right, we’re going down to Bikini Bottom, to the absorbent, yellow and porous sponge living under the sea, for this week’s Mash-Up Monday! “Jellyfish Jam” from Spongebob Squarepants combines with Speed Highway Act 1 from Sonic Generations.
I hope this makes up for what I’ve put you all through on Friday… but who am I kidding? I love torturing you guys every once in a while!
Tune in for additional jams next week!
Found an interesting mash-up somewhere on the net? Mashed one together yourself? If you’ve answered yes to either of these questions, then send them over to email@example.com!
This may be possibly the most late Freak Out Friday yet, but that doesn’t change the nature of this video.
We all know… it?… as the lamest final boss in a long time. Mefiresu on YouTube didn’t see that, however – instead, he saw Sonic Adventure’s new hero…

According to a recent ratings entry at the Australian classifications board the OFLC it looks like we could be getting a new port/remake of the Sonic Adventure Gamecube/PC port Sonic Adventure DX: Director’s Cut. All we know right now is this new entry was rated on the 18th August 2009 as ‘G General’ and will be multi-platform.
The original port basically added some glossy changes to character models, a mission mode and all 12 Sonic Game Gear games. There’s no limit to what a new version on current consoles could add to the game if Sonic Team really worked at it.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for any future info/media on this, so stay tuned.
