If the game series were to be completely rebooted, what game should it start with?

If the game series were to be completely rebooted, (I mean a real reboot, not something that requires 15 years of context to begin making sense) what game should it start with? Should it erase everything after SA2? Or everything after S3&K? Or fully reconceptualize the first game? -
Hello, welcome, welcome! Take a seat, and grab that pencil/pen/keyboard/writing device too. This, my friend, is the SSMB Writing Club, for all you aspiring and creative guys and gals, who want to share your works, discuss themes, content, techniques, get some feedback on your stuff, and, hopefully, gain something. I feel I should lay down some...ground rules (?). Well, let's not call them rules, let's just call them suggestions. Your contributions don't NEED to be finished. That's the whole idea, unfinished works are welcomed because they actually encourage a bit more discussion, if you need help on a piece, don't be afraid to ask. Also, keep the content 'clean', and by that, I mean, nothing sexual. You can imply such things, if need be, but nothing graphic (this, coming from me, is kinda hypocritical I guess), we gotta stick to forum rules, remember. Other than that, go nuts. On terms of feedback, it has to be constructive, I shouldn't have to say this, but don't be nasty. You can criticize without hurting feelings, it's not that hard. Well, enough of the introductions, let's get down to brass tacks. I'll open the contributions here with a little horror piece I've been working on, it's titled 'Majin', and I'm really pretty happy with it. I know it isn't perfect, but I'm just trying to get this place off to a running start. (I'd recommend you spoiler any 'big' pieces of writing) Eh...let the writing commence, I guess!

Hey everyone! Sowhart here introducing a slice of Madness! I present to all you wonderful people: So I am a fairly big Sonic Fan and I enjoy getting a kick or two out of the Original Classic games every now and then and I was inspired to do my own little marathon of madness after watching SGBLikesToPlay's Sonic Marathon where they played: Sonic 1 Sonic CD Sonic 2 Sonic 3 & Knuckles Sonic 4: Episode 1 I had some enjoyment out of this and I got the idea to make my own marathon and here it is! My Marathon consists of 5 games and it comes under the Original games along with Two Fangames, For my Marathon I will be playing: Sonic 1 Sonic Before The Sequel Sonic 2 Sonic After The Sequel Sonic 3 & Knuckles In a way making a full length epic journey for the blue blur, its not an official timeline but it feels like it works out. This Marathon will be taking place over at my channel very soon and I will be bringing guests and friends on board for the ride! I spent some time making up a short trailer of sorts for this Marathon and I am quite happy with the outcome of it! The Sonic Marathon Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d5UHJW2CrE I'd like to hear what you guys think about this idea and if you'd like to pitch any ideas then I am all for it! Thanks for reading!

I love Eggman, with his eccentric personality, passion for empire and robot building, and his interactions with his most hated enemy, Sonic. But I often wonder what it would be like if the series had a second antagonist. Someone with a far different style from Eggman, someone who brought something new to the table in terms of presentation, personality, or minion gallery. I fancied the idea of someone who dabbled in sorcery, or something like that, though I feel that would be to "un-sonic". How would you feel about a secondary antagonist having a place in the series, and if so, how should they be represented?
