  1. Fresh gossip surrounding a potential Sonic Heroes remake has exploded overnight. A new report is claiming that SEGA is currently working on a next-gen revival of the 2004 classic using Unreal Engine 5 - but this has since been refuted by a community insider that argues that such a project is not in active development. Portuguese website Universo Nintendo ran the story last night, which states (via machine translation) that a remake is being developed for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Steam and Nintendo's next-generation console. It also independently speculates a release date of 2025. While the report does link to an unverified blog, Universo Nintendo nonetheless claims that it has corroborated the information using its own trusted sources - and that's really the interesting part here. Because one of the sources cited, insider "Midori", has since distanced themselves from the story, stating that the project is currently only under consideration at SEGA. After posting "This is correct information" in relation to Univero Nintendo's writer's social media on the story, they later clarified: In response to a direct question from another user as to whether such a game is currently in development, Midori added, "I don’t think so. And I do not know about this remake title being released in next three years and I don’t have any information on that." Although not an official source for SEGA or Sonic information, Midori has gained a positive reputation for being accurate with many details concerning unannounced projects related to the Sonic series and the Atlus development studio. Still, their words (as well as the words of everyone mentioned in this story) should be taken with an industrial amount of salt. You know, manage your expectations and all that. But, this current rumour has the Sonic community buzzing, and for good reason - the community has been trying to find clues leading to a Sonic Heroes remake (or remaster) since July 2023. And now everybody is talking about whether they would want to play a revamped version of Sonic the Hedgehog's very first multi-platform adventure. Where do you sit? 3. Surprised nobody made this topic yet Besides Ms. Pac-Man being fucking dead™ i'm very pleased to see this be a reality. Pac-Man World is such a classic, and to see it be remade for a new generation is a real treat. Pac-Man World Re-PAC launches August 26th of this year, just under two months until the Pac is Back...again.
  4. I'm sure a least some of you played Angry Birds during it's prime. Whether it was on mobile devices, a PC, PSMini release, or through Angry Birds Trilogy, this was an iconic and classic mobile game that was, unfortunately, delisted a while back, due to Rovio not wanting to have to update it for modern phones. That all changes today, however, with this remake of the 2012 version of Angry Birds Classic. It costs $0.99, and contains everything from the 2.1.0(?) version of Angry Birds Classic, with no ads. I'm unable to try it, due to not having a working phone, but I really appreciate Rovio for doing this, and hope they do it with some of the other games. Personally hoping for Seasons!
  5. Less than a year ago I made about two Live-Action/Animated Jungle Book films made by both Disney AND Warner. Sadly, it got lost in the server wipe. However, this time I’m going to focus on the one at a time and that is going to be what is in the title. I’ll save the other for later. The Jungle Book is a live action/CG animated remake of Disney's original 1967's The Jungle Book and it is directed by Jon Favreau, the man also directed Elf, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, Zathura, Cowboys and Aliens and Chef. Here's the info and synopsis from Cinemablend. It was originally expected to be released in October, but the film was moved a few months back in place of Chris Pine's The Finest Hours and will be released in April 15, 2016 nationwide. Also, concept art of the upcoming movie:
  6. I know we may have had Sonic Generations and Sonic adventure 1 and 2 hd, but what if sega did something more? franchises like fable and halo have been remaking their greatest games with great success, so WHAT IF sega remade Sonic adventure 1 and 2 on the hedgehog engine? (engine used since sonic unleashed) The gameplay could still stay true to the adventure games while delivering improved voice overs and beutifully rendered levels, we could even see the return of Ryan Drummand or Jason Grithith to do the voices rather than the current cast because let's be honest, the voice acting in the adventure games was not exactly the BEST voice work in the series (although I understand if you liked it) So what do you think? Could we potentially see sega pull off a "Sonic Aniversary" kind of game in the next few years? I know it's a long shot but it's just and idea I'd like some feedback on
  7. I would probably be '06 and Heroes. '06 to me had lots of potential that had been put to waste, and the team concept in Heroes could have been expanded on. What's yours?
