This morning, Weston Super Sonic’s free ticket registration has opened for fans to register for the Weston-Super Mare based Sonic convention, taking place on Weston’s Grand Pier January 17th 2015.
Tickets have been said to be released in multiple waves, the first opening today, and further waves taking place at future dates.
You can register for your own free tickets right here
Opportunities to get tickets in person are also available, with the WSS staff making appearances at Bristol Animanga POP!, on Sunday the 4th of October and PLAY Expo, Manchester on the weekend of Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of October.
The coming months look to be an increasingly exciting time for people in the Sonic community. With Sonic the Comic Con opening its doors to guests in less than a month from now, and SEGA’s own Sonic Boom event opening this Saturday, it’s an incredibly exciting time for Sonic fans to get together, network and have a great time.
It’s awesomely refreshing to see Sonic fans out and around the world creating their own events and doing what they can to leave their marks on the community, so why not join us for a day of tournaments, panels and a day of all things Sonic the Hedgehog!
Hope to catch you there!
Announced earlier this evening at the Summer of Sonic website is news that advanced registration tickets for the event are running out fast, Urtheart has the full details below
“To the shock and horror of many we regret to announce that we may soon have to close registration.
In previous years, registration has usually got to a point where we have had to stop it in case we go over the legal limit of how many people we are allowed in the place we hold our events (health and safety and all that, any comments about us being PC will be met with a shotgun).
Despite us being able to hold double the amount of people in this venue, we are sadly reaching that limit again of how many people we can hold. If you are still on the fence about coming to Summer of Sonic, register anyway. This way, you get a ticket in case you do want to come. We will still try to get in all those who want to come and have not registered, but please be aware that ticket holders will get priority.
We are sorry that we have had to warn you of this before a week of registration has come, but demand for Summer of Sonic has once again been far greater than we anticipated with people all over the world trying to get to the event.
We will inform you if anything on this changes.

From now until August 8th, those interested in participating in SAGE are clear to register their project’s “booth” on the expo’s website. Before you go all gung-ho about it, be sure to have the required elements:
- Booth Name
- List of Member(s) Involved
- Your project’s website (booth URL)
- Booth image for use on the expo floor (must be 320×240 and a JPEG, GIF, or PNG under 30 KB in size)
An optional element is to include the download link to the game you will be showcasing. Seeing how nobody is ever done with their demos by now, it better be an option.
SAGE runs August 17th through the 24th at sagexpo.org
