France Stéphane Legar Releases Single "Speed Life" for Sonic 2 Movie
GX -The Spindash- posted a story in Media
After a week of teasing the release, Stéphane Legar now has his Sonic 2 movie soundtrack single "Speed Life" available to listen to on his YouTube. The video states that it was provided by Parlophone France, and the lyrics themselves are entirely in French. We have no confirmation at this time if this single will be exclusive to the French release of Sonic 2, or if it will appear in international versions as well. Legar also posted the full music video for the single to YouTube: The rather goofy video features Legar interacting with CG models of Sonic and Tails pulled from the movie as Legar himself runs at super-speed. Outside of YouTube, the single is currently available to stream on a number of major music platforms; however, international access may vary.- 6 comments

Global Box Office Sonic 2 Debuts at #1 at French Box Office With $1.2 Million
SSF1991 posted a story in Media
It's finally here! This week saw the beginning of Sonic 2's release around the world, and we're starting to hear how sales are doing. The first good news comes from France, where the film made $1,200,000 on the day of its release. Now, this is fantastic news for a couple of reasons. One, that amount of money made Sonic 2 reach #1 at France's box office. Two, and perhaps more impressive, is that the movie made 30% more money on its premiere day than Sonic 1 did on its premiere day a couple of years ago! Now, it is worth noting that this is only the beginning. The film premiered in Australia and Germany yesterday. Today, Sonic 2 released in the UK and Spain. North America's turn comes on April 8th. This is actually not what was done with Sonic 1. Sonic 2 is opening in 31 markets via a slow rollout. Sonic 1, however, not only opened in 40 markets, but this all happened on the same February date. What is different this time is the state of the pandemic. Sonic 1 had a lot of momentum, but the initial outbreak of the COVID pandemic resulted in an abrupt end to any further sales. Although the pandemic is still not over yet, Sonic 2 will not see the same fate that Sonic 1 did. That all said, we'll keep you up to date on any further sales numbers. To see Sonic 2 already showing signs of doing better than its predecessor, which is even more impressive when you consider that Sonic 1 was a massive success, is very encouraging. It's uncertain whether this momentum will continue in France, and it is even more uncertain if the movie will see similar success in other regions. We'll just have to wait and see. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm here to tell you about one of my favorite computer games ever, Transformice. Transformice is a game where you play as a little mouse, and you have to go through different stages to collect cheese and bring it back to the mousehole. It seems pretty straightforward. But the game is extremely addicting once you start playing it. The game was createdy by two female programmers from France, who released the game in 2009. And since then, the game had became a success as there are over 700,000 members on Transformice to this day. There is more in the gameplay, out of all the mice, there is a shaman. The shaman is marked with special markings that distinguish it from other mice. The shamans job is to help the mice retrieve the cheese by using its magic. As shaman, you can create bridges, boxes, cannon balls, balloons, cars, or even aircraft to assist the mice to the cheese. But there is a job in your hands, you can either help the mice, or kill them. Shamans who want to troll throw cannonballs at innocent mice, which throw them off the stage. Though trolling is part of the game, you can report people if they are impeding on your game. Here is a screenshot of Transformice gameplay in a map. Getting an account is simple and free. When logging in, you will be in a public room. In the chatbox below that, you can go to your own room. In order to join or go to a room, type in "/room whateverroomhere" (without quotes). If we ever get to playing the game as a site, our room will be at /room SSMB. You can also customize your mouse at the Shop with the cheese you have collected, and buy hats, shirts, and accessories for your mouse. You are able to add friends there, and invite your recently added friends to your room. You can also join the forums on the site, which you can access through your login. MORE INFO AND HELP CAN BE FOUND HERE: http://transformicew...title=Main_Page JOIN TRANSFORMICE TODAY! http://www.transformice.com/ The Help/Rules page on your interface can also help you with certain commands, and buttons that you use in the game. I've been playing this game since last June, and I can't stop playing it, and I sure you won't be bored or disappointed with this game. What do you think of this game? =D
