  1. Sonic X is coming! US TV network Fox Box has been playing a very short 6 second teaser for the upcoming show all this morning. It doesn't show a lot of information, but it's certainly driving up the hype! The teaser was spotted by SonicAnime.net's Shayne Thames, who recorded it and uploaded it to their website. If you want to download it, you can do so here (you'll need the DivX 5.0.3 codec to run it, which is available at DivX.com). You can also watch it below. Sonic X FoxBox 6sec Teaser.mp4 As you might know, 4Kids got the dubbing rights to the Sonic X anime, with the intention to air it on US TV kids' programming block Fox Box. It will premiere from September 6th at 9:30am EST and PST. Thanks to Shayne Thames for the information.
  2. Marza Animation Planet has published the fan-favourite animation, 'Sonic: Night of the Werehog' on its YouTube channel for the first time, in honour of the short film's 15th anniversary since its release in Japanese theaters. The movie, originally produced and released in 2008 to coincide with the launch of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 adventure Sonic Unleashed / Sonic World Adventure, tells a tale of three troublesome ghosts as they try and make trouble for Sonic and Chip during a stay at their haunted mansion. It's a fantastic animation that still holds up to this day, and fans have been wishing for more Sonic projects from Marza ever since its release. It's great that fans will get to see this again in full on an official channel - go ahead and give it a watch one more time. It's okay, even though it's a Japanese channel, Sonic doesn't talk (for once) so you'll be able to understand it just fine. Happy anniversary, Night of the Werehog! Via Marza Animation Planet

  4. If you needed another reason to get excited for SEGA HARDlight's upcoming Apple Arcade title, Sonic Dream Team, then why not check out this latest trailer for the game? It features an incredible animated intro directed by Tyson Hesse and produced by Powerhouse Animation, with music composed by Tee Lopes. The intro illustrates the slightly crazy premise of Sonic's new adventure - with the blue blur and his friends being pulled into a nightmarish dreamspace operated by Dr. Eggman. The villainous dictator is even seen morphing into various monsters and creatures as he tries to smush Sonic and pals to pieces. But wait! Cream, Cheese and new character Ariem appear to offer the Sonic Heroes some assistance! It's the usual top-drawer animation that we've come to expect from Hesse and his team, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint with vibrant colours and lots of character. Let us know what you think of the intro in the comments below! Sonic News Tips Credit: Thankful Gems Original Post Content: View full story

  6. Sonic Prime's third season will be launching on Netflix on 11th January 2024, offering a new slate of episodes continuing the blue blur's journey through the Shatterverse. During Netflix's Geeked Week Saturday Showcase earlier today, a new teaser from the upcoming third season was also shared, in which Sonic and Shadow team up to fight an evil robot that... kind of looks a little similar to both of them? Metal Sonic? Metal Shadow? Who knows? All we do know is that it leads to a rather killer battle sequence. It's all in aid to get to Tails Nine, who is leading the charge in this third chapter as the main antagonist of the series. Sonic and Shadow desperately need to reach the rogue variant of the two-tailed hero and help fix the crumbling Shatterverse before it's too late... Who's excited? Let us know in the comments section below!

  8. It's been 16 years since the release of the animated short, "Night of the Werehog" Made by Marza as a promotion for Sonic Unleashed. Since that time, the mermaid ghost-girl in the story has become a bit of a mascot for the company, and can often be seen in their Twitter/X posts. Now, after 16 years, Marza has announced the release of an all-new short, "Ghost Tale" just in time for Halloween. In this quick, less-than-three-minute short, the two male ghosts are trying to impress the mermaid ghost-girl and a bunch of.... ghost-kids? Sorry, Werehog fans. He's not around this time. You can check out the YouTube video below along with the original short, "Night of the Werehog". Happy Halloween!! Sonic News Tips Credit: DaBigJ Original Post Content: In a bit of a surprise, after 15 years of absence, three familiar ghostly figures return for a new Halloween short from 'Marza'! 10. Today, official Sonic social media has announced a new animated prologue for Sonic Superstars to release tomorrow. As a teaser, frame of a smug Fang holding an emerald was included. This extends SEGA's ongoing trend of preceding Sonic games with animation projects, such as Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps and Sonic Frontiers Prologue: Divergence. Hopefully, this will be our first real introduction to Trip, who we've only gotten background on through text descriptions and interviews. 12. Tails is a Vtuber now, apparently! Via an announcement on Twitter, SEGA has revealed “TailsTube,” a new “informative” web series about all things Sonic. This series will be hosted by a Vtuber avatar of Tails voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey. Beyond what’s revealed in the tweet, not much else is really known about the show. Will there be announcements? Interviews? Game presentations? We’ll just have to see. You can check out the brief announcement video below. The show will launch sometime next week. This isn’t the first time Sonic characters have become vtubers. Last year, SEGA of Japan turned Sonic into a vtuber for the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Tails later joined him in a stream in December. This is the first time this will be done in English, though.
  13. SEGA’s long running series of animated Sonic shorts is set to continue with a new Sonic Frontiers animated special, Sonic Frontiers Prologue. Set before the events of the game, the special will focus on Knuckles. The sneak peak, shown during today’s Sonic Central broadcast, show’s Knuckles standing stoically in front of the Master Emerald during a rain storm. Check out a screenshot of it below: Nothing else is currently known, but Ian Flynn did hint that something he is involved in would be shown, so it seems quite likely he wrote the script for this. We’ll update this article when the status of his involvement is known.
  14. We may not have a trailer yet, but we do have yet another tiny teaser for Sonic Prime! This one confirms Big the Cat, and also gives us a taste of his voice. Check out the footage below! Unfortunately, no date was revealed. The hosts did state that the show would focus on Sonic rescuing his friends, and that he may be taking them for granted at the start of the series.
