  • Sonic Prime Season 2 Blu-Ray Releases in August, Available for Pre-Order

    Boscage and beyond

For those collecting Sonic physical media or who just don't have Netflix access, Sonic Prime Season 2's blu-ray release now has a retail listing with its box design and release date: August 27.

The season's Amazon listing (via Wario64) notes that, much like the first season release, it will include eight episodes from "Avoid the Void" through "Ghost of a Chance", the series' English language track and subtitles, and DTS-HD 5.1 surround sound. The product listing does not show any special features for the release, something that the first season was also rather light on. At time of writing, you can pre-order Season 2 for a 10% discount, or about $2 off its $19.99 MSRP.

Sonic Prime Season 2 will hit its one-year anniversary in July and still stands among Netflix' popular kids animation. Season 2 alone has racked up about 39 million hours viewed last year. Given that the series ended in January this year, you can probably expect the final season to see disc release early next year.

Still confused by the "four chapters" part of the description when there were only three seasons to Sonic Prime. What's the fourth chapter?

    Are the Japanese voices available?!...

Doubt it because the first volume didn't have them. Plus, the description just says English.

At least you can put these in any UK player.
