“I’m Here” – The Main Theme of Sonic Frontiers Revealed

Just a day after SEGA revealed the ending theme to Sonic Frontiers (performed by the popular J-Rock band One Ok Rock), we now have news of the upcoming game’s main theme too.

Titled ‘I’m Here’, the song seems to evoke the same mysterious and sombre tone that can be found when playing within the open-zone Starfall Islands themselves. And then the hard rock guitars kick in. It’s an interesting blend of the melodic and the heavy.

The track is composed and arranged by Tomoya Ohtani, a Sonic series musical mainstay that has also been behind the soundtracks to Sonic Colours, Sonic Lost World and Sonic Forces, while the vocals and lyrics are provided by Merry Kirk-Holmes from up-and-coming rock band To Octavia.

You can hear a sample of the theme song in the video above. What do you think of it? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Copy-and-pasting what I previously wrote.
“Sounds good but it feels more like something for a epic, melodramatic anime then a Sonic game. Given that Frontiers’ tone is supposed to give off the vibes of just that (going by Sega and Sonic Team’s words) I guess its fitting.”
