Sonic Announcement Teased for The Game Awards

A Sonic Announcement has been teased for The Game Awards ceremony on Thursday December 9th… Could it be Sonic Frontiers?

Following news that SEGA has created an active website for the upcoming Sonic 2022 game, the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account started communicating publicly with the host and creator of The Game Awards show, Geoff Keighley.

The Sonic Twitter account confirmed its attendance to the event. Usually this level of public discussion from brands such as this points to some kind of formal showing at the event, and the timing is right for some details to be made available for Sonic Frontiers… Geoff Keighley himself has also been rather vocal in teasing some level of Sonic reveal at the show.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed. We will be covering The Game Awards 2021 on Thursday, and will bring you all the Sonic news from there as it happens.

  1. I hope that Sonic Origins which includes Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD might also be announced at the Game Awards 2021 along with Sonic Prime and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022 film). What are your thoughts about this?

    1. We’re more than likely to get… maximum two things. There’s going to be plenty of other companies vying for Game Award time, and there certainly won’t be a new Sonic WORLD PREMIERE between every other award.

  2. Smart money is on Sonic Frontiers being officially announced. Hopeful money is news on Sonic Origins also including Knuckles Chaotix.
