Planet Wisp, as Performed by Music-Crazy Fans

This is awesome. A couple of bedroom composers have made a cover version of Kenichi Tokoi’s Planet Wisp theme from Sonic Colours, using nothing but a Logic sequencer and a keyboard.

According to Aivi Tran’s YouTube page, collaborator Dave Harris transcribed the entire track by ear – which is not an easy job by any stretch of the imagination. Aivi then took to her Roland RD-700NX and performed the piano and solo sections.

It’s a great take on a fantastic track, and there’s even a surprise Green Hill Zone medley thrown into the mix as well. It’s a testament to epic the Sonic Colours soundtrack in its entirety really is. Now, somebody do Starlight Carnival!

I recently bought Colors for my birthday in July and but haven’t had the oportunity to play Planet Wisp yet but that tribute is amazing.

      1. Ah,planet whisp is an awesome level.I do find the other acts on the board to be quite difficult at times though. Especially if you’re wanting to get all the red emblems.

  2. I am truly speechless. This is, without a doubt, an amazing cover! I also loved the little green hill melody they put in. They took this and made it their own. Bravissimo!
