English Sonic 20th Anniversary iOS App Now Available On The App Store

Some of you may remember an iOS app made especially for Sonic’s 20th Anniversary that was released in Japan back in June. Well, we’ve got word that SEGA quietly released it on the iOS App Store in the west last Wednesday. For those not in the know, the app features a Sonic the Sketchhog game, Sonic 20th Anniversary news updates, iPod Touch/iPhone wallpapers and a Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 trial. Best part is, the app is free of charge.

We have the full details and screenshots available below.

  1. It keeps crashing when I try to play Sonic the Sketchog or Sonic 4 lite, even though I have the full one. It’s really slow too. Turns on fast but when I press start or anything else, it’s ’06 all over again :/

      1. I have a second gen that went through a lake and lost touch capabilities for a month. Then they came back after some paint lol.

  2. Whats REALLY sad is that Sonic the Sketchhog is more addictive than the iPod versión of Sonic 4 xD Whos with me?

  3. Works fine on iPad2 although it’s just an iphone/ipod touch 4g app.
Would have been better with retina for this and sonic 4.
I wouldn’t mind a port of Sonic 3D to be quite honest, I think it would make a nifty iPad app!
(but not with the PC special stages as they sucked!)
