Figures and Toys New Set of Sonic Funko POP Toys Unveiled: Amy, Metal, Eggman, Super Sonic and More

It looks like Funko will be bringing more Sonic the Hedgehog themed POP toys to stores very soon, with images of brand new figures for Amy Rose, Metal Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Sonic and Super Sonic recently released online. No significant details (pricing, release dates) are currently known for any of these new products, but we can see from the images what forms these Funko Pops will take. Above, you can see a Amy Rose, Metal Sonic and a new Dr. Eggman figure that will form part of a "POP! Rides" subcategory of toys. New Super Sonic Funko Pops were also revealed online, with two variants coming soon. One has Super in a classic 'supercharged' pose and another is a limited Chase edition that features a stand with Super Sonic in a hovering position. Finally, the above image unveils the existence of a new Sonic Funko Pop toy that has our blue blur in an iconic compromising position. The 'Ring Scatter Sonic' will be made available as a PX Previews exclusive, apparently. More details to come as we get it! Word on the grapevine is that Funko will be soon expanding their Sonic the Hedgehog line to include several character yet to receive a vinyl figure incarnation. Sonic Merch News via Twitter reports sources are expecting the release of a large expansion to the Sonic the Hedgehog range, including a modern Super Sonic with Chaos Emeralds, Metal Sonic, Amy Rose, and a special Team Chaotix 3-pack. While no release dates are known yet, be sure to stay tuned to TSS for more on any potential future releases! -
If you're attending San Diego Comic Con this year, you'll have a chance to nab yourself a brand new Shadow and Super Shadow Funko Pop double pack for your collection. Be quick though, as this set is only available at the convention, which runs from July 21-24. The figures were spotted on social media account 'DisTrackers', with the new figures announced at Funko's "Fundays" convention party. As you can see in the photo, they feature two new poses for Funko Shadow and Funko Super Shadow, levitating with the help of a stand, and they glow in the dark too. You probably don't need the generic alpine scenery in the background to complete the aesthetic, though. If you want one, hurry up as the whole show ends tomorrow. Or you can do what everyone else does and just wait until they inevitably pop up on eBay for extortionate scalper prices. Your call! via SoaH City -
