  1. Event Introduction: Welcome everyone to the first Sonic Stadium event of 2024, and possibly the biggest one we've ever hosted on the site! A full year-long event that's going to be filled with prizes, ring bonuses, brand new and exclusive profile gifts, leaderboards, and much, much more! So what is the aim of the game? It's simple. We all like playing games on this site, and that's what the challenge is all about - starting from January 1st, all the way until next January, we're challenging all of you to finish 52 games throughout the year! It can be games from your backlog, beloved games you love replaying, fan projects, so on, so forth! Every time you finish up a game, you report it right here along with evidence of finish/completion, and we'll mark it on the leaderboard and within our records, and keep a full running tally for you! But that's not all! For those that go the extra mile and go out of their way to 100% a game - we're offering BONUS rewards! When everything is all put together, between badges, rings, and profile gifts, we're giving away a grand total value of over 50,000 rings to everyone who participates and finishes the challenge to completion, as well as fulfils the bonus requirements! What is the 52 Game Challenge? The 52 Game Challenge is an event that was hosted on the site quite a few years back, again encouraging participating members to play through, and complete games throughout the year, with a record being kept for all of them, and multiple prizes being offered for finishing the event's conditions. As a completionist myself, I really enjoyed the challenge the first time around, and have mused about possibly giving it a revival. Now, I'm very happy to be able to bring it back in turbo-charged form for everyone to enjoy! What qualifies as a 100% Completion? 100% Completion is something we're being a bit lenient on. It'll change from case to case, and be considered on a case by case basis - for a lot of modern games on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, we're considering it under what the achievement/trophy list qualifies as full completion. Once that hits 100%, you're officially 100% done. Anything else is bragging rights. Older games again is case by case. If there's a save file with a percentage, it'll be used as the measure unless there's a known exception (IE, Toys to Life games). Older games like NES/SNES/Genesis titles can just be getting to the 'end' of additional quests (IE - Mario/Zelda second quest), or even just finishing the game can qualify as 100% (Mega Man 1-6). Either way, the team will be examining it on a case to case basis for older stuff, while modern stuff has the achievement lists as qualifiers. In the interest of being lenient however, we're also allowing you the chance to go back to games you may have only finished in 2023, and completely 100% them for full completion to count for 2024, so this is your chance to go back to some other games and get them all cleared! Game Exceptions and Unique Cases? There's only two exceptions we have to the games we're allowing to be added to the list. These are: Episodic Games: Episodic Games are not strictly banned from the event, but will instead be treated as one whole game, rather than multiple games. So games like Sam & Max, or Life is Strange will be counted only as one game, not multiple. Shovelware/'Trophy Games'/Asset Flips: This is specifically a subset of games that have cropped up in recent years and goes against the spirit of the event, in which their purposes is to be quick, cheap, and just there for easy completion. In order to not have the event cheated and invalidated, we're not allowing this. Compilation Titles: Compilation Titles are fair game, and we're judging them on a case by case basis. Some games like Mario All-Stars are just effective ports, and would require you to play through each one individually. However, in cases such as Sonic Origins, with a story mode - playing through it, and even getting all emeralds in all of them would count as four separate entries for Sonic 1, 2, CD, and 3 & Knuckles, retrospectively. Fan Games/Fan Projects: Fan Games are absolutely fair game! As long as you can actively finish and complete the game, and it's not a incomplete demo, it's all good. Project 06, Triple Trouble 16-Bit, Sonic and the Fallen Star, they're all valid for the challenge! The only exceptions will be incomplete demos, and games that can't actively be completed (IE, Sonic Riders: Tourney Edition, as it unlocks everything off the bat). Games will be judged case by case, and in some instances, finishing the game is possible (You can do a full story run of Riders Tourney Edition and it'll count), but full completion can't be done (Again, due to being unlocked immediately). Same Games?: It depends in the game. If it's a game with the same name, but is basically different in most ways, such as Sonic Generations (console) VS Sonic Generations 3DS - that's fair game as those are two different games with just the same title. However, you can't submit double entries of the exact same game (Sonic Generations PS3 and Sonic Generations 360). Other than that, what games you decide to play and finish is fully up to your decision! Live Service Games/Battle Pass Seasons: In spite of these games not officially having a end point, we're again going to allow it - assuming it doesn't go to extremes (IE, trying to enter a random Battle Pass season every few days/every week). Most of these games are already pretty grindy as is and require a lot of effort and dedication to complete their seasonal passes and contents, so we want to reward that! So, anything with a seasonal structure and a battle pass is fair game. Fortnite, Overwatch, Crash Team Rumble, Apex Legends, Diablo, Multiversus (when it comes back), so on so forth - post evidence that you fully finished up the battle pass and we'll count it as a game under your belt! Started a Game in 2023, Finished in 2024: Once again, in the interest of keeping things lenient, we're offering a grace period so to speak - if you started a game in 2023, but only got around to finishing it in 2024, we'll still offer you a credit for it! That said however, as the spirit of the event is to challenge yourself and see how many you can finish by the end of the year, we still want to encourage you to try and start as many games this year as possible! Completion Conditions for Certain Games?: Again, we're generally trying to be as lenient as possible. While we're encouraging you to go for full completion, even we can see when something is being downright ridiculous in it's requirements, and might as well be for bragging rights. So to give examples of what might be common games to get an idea of what kind of completion we're talking about for 100%: SONIC HEROES: Finishing all four stories, collecting all seven emeralds, and completing last story is 100% completion due to how often you need to repeat the campaigns and go out of your way to unlock last story. Emblems and super hard mode is considered a post game bragging rights bonus. SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG: Same situation. Completing 10 endings (or 5 in the Reloaded mod), and unlocking and beating Last Story is enough for 100% completion, as absolutely no one expects anyone here to go for 302 endings. SONIC LOST WORLD: Gathering all red star rings, and finishing all levels + unlocking Super Sonic is enough for 100% completion due to it being a Wii U game originally, and the Steam achievements being ridiculously grindy. SONIC FORCES: Finishing all levels, getting all missions complete, and getting all collectibles is enough for 100% due to the abundance of grid centric trophies and achievements in the game. What do I need to do to join?! Joining is simple enough! All you gotta do is drop a post in this topic that confirms you want to join the event, and from there on, you just report here whenever you finish a game, giving a brief paragraph about how it went and what you thought! Please note however - in order to stop cheating of the system, we are going to ask for additional evidence to be posted to confirm a game completion. This will be simple enough - all you have is show something to prove you finished it. It can be a image of the game's credits, a image of a completed save file, a image of a completed trophy list. Even a link to PSNProfiles or your Steam achievements is enough to confirm it! Once that's done, we'll update your tally on the leaderboard and on our records! I fell behind, or I started the event late, can I still do it? Of course you can still do it! The overall aim of the game is only just to get 52 games completed during the year, and when it's done doesn't matter! You just want to see how far you can get, and how many games you can get done! That's also why our soon to be discussed Check-In Rewards only require progress reports on what game you're playing as well, so you don't feel pressured to ensure you have a new game ready to submit literally every week, especially if you opt to play longer games. So if you fall behind, or start late, you might miss out on a few weekly check-in rewards, but otherwise? You can still try your best, see how far you get, and maybe even hit the goal in the end anyways! But with all that out of the way, we all know what everyone wants to know. What is our prizes?! Prizes and Milestones: For something as huge as a year-long event, we on staff felt that a simple badge or two wasn't going to cut it. No, no, no, there had to be more. Way more. MUCH MUCH MORE! So! I'm absolutely excited to present our milestones! Rather than having two badges given out at event completion, we're instead holding milestones - wherein once a member has completed one of their milestones, they will be awarded with their badge and their prizes at that time. This should make it exciting and engaging, as each milestone will treated as progress, rather than just needing to finish the event in all to see any reward. So go for the gold and see how many prizes you can take home! We've got way more than badges to hand out - with have both ring rewards AND some very wonderful profile gifts available from the Member Store! So let's stop beating around the bush and get to it! Finished Game Rewards: Finished 10 Games!: Badge: Ring Reward: 500 rings Profile Gift Reward: SEGA Genesis Profile Gift - worth 500 rings! Finished 25 Games!: Badge: Ring Reward: 600 rings Profile Gift Reward: SEGA CD Profile Gift - worth 650 rings! Finished 40 Games! Profile Gift Reward: Sonic 10th Anniversary Dreamcast worth 3,000 rings! NOTE: If you already have purchased the prizes above, you'll receive a ring equivalent to them in their place. What are rings and profile gifts? If you're asking that question, then you probably missed the update topic a few months ago discussing this new feature, but in short, you are given rings for a lot of activities you do on the site, including making posts, joining clubs, and more. These rings can then be used in the member shop: https://www.sonicstadium.org/membersshop/ In order to buy a variety of profile gifts and even site benefits! Profile gifts on the other hand - if you notice under any member's profile picture - are fun little collectibles that you can collect, as well as being able to check every user's full collection (including your own), by visiting their profile, and hitting the 'profile gifts' tab. In particular, the SEGA console line are some of the more expensive ones, so to say this is a big chance to bolster your collections is a understatement! Now, you can't say that's not generous. Surely there can't be more. Oh, but there is. More prizes you say!? WE HAVE MORE PRIZES!!! Weekly Check-In Rewards!: In order to encourage a lot of engagement with the event and in order to encourage discussion of the games and what everyone's playing, we're bringing in a brand new event feature! I'm happy to introduce... CHECK-IN REWARDS! Basically, we're offering a BRAND NEW profile gift reward each and every single week, from now - all the way up until the end of the year - that will be given out for free for doing the weekly check-in! Weekly Check-In will update every Monday, so be sure to get a progress report in once a week before you miss out your chance! What do you have to do? Well, all you have to do is post once a week - it can either be a progress report, in which you simply discuss whatever game you're currently playing, and how it's going, or it can be a full-blown submission if you feel like it! Either way, you'll be earning a brand new profile gift each and every week as long as you check in! But there's more! You won't be earning just any old profile gift... ...YOU'LL BE AMONG THE FIRST TO EARN THE EXCLUSIVE BRAND NEW LINE OF PROFILE GIFTS THAT'S APART OF THE FIRST ITEM SHOP EXPANSION! That's right! Not only are you getting profile gifts for contributing weekly, you're getting a brand new line that will be available first exclusively through the event, completely for free! You can find the full line-up of weekly check-in events in the Community Calendar right now! Check out all 50 weeks to see what the full-line up of exclusive gifts are, and set reminders so the site will notify you when a new one goes live! https://www.sonicstadium.org/events/ SONIC COVER ART: EXCLUSIVE PROFILE GIFT COLLECTION! So as we just said above - we're offering every participant of this event the chance to get their hands on the first major brand new profile gift collection! From this week, ALL the way up through to the end of the year, we're glad to offer you a BRAND NEW SONIC BOX ART every single week, from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), all the way up until Sonic Dream Team! Priced at 750 rings a pop, if you get all of them, that's a whopping 39,000 ring value. Even better than that - not only are you getting 52 brand spanking new profile gifts to add to your collection, but you also get first dibs! Every single profile gift will be exclusive to the 52 Game Challenge for the first month, not entering the item store until after that time! So this is your chance to not only nab yourself a hefty collection of Sonic box arts, but also to be the very first to do so! Can't say fairer than that, eh? This Week's Check-In: Monday April 15th - Monday April 22nd This portion of the topic will also be updated weekly, as well as a reminder post, and a new site feature to remind everyone when new weekly check-in prizes will go up for grabs. So, this week's prize is... A Sonic Advance Profile Gift! Any post that comes in during the week will earn themselves these two brand new and exclusive gifts to show off on their profiles! April Challenge 1: Big's Big Search! - COMPLETED In collaboration with the rest of the site's Big related makeover for April 1st, we're running a special challenge as well! This week, we want everyone to play any Sonic game that features Big in some way, and take a screenshot of the guy! It can be a playable debut, a cameo, it can be a console game, mobile game, or hell, even LEGO Dimensions! Help Big retrace his steps through his history of games in search of Froggy, and you'll earn a special prize to be announced soon! ANNOUNCEMENT: CHALLENGE NOW COMPLETE! April Challenge 2: The Knuckles Week Challenge! Tying into the site's Knuckles Week festivities, our second challenge focuses in on Sonic's friendly rival - Knuckles, with a lineup of special prizes for finding him in any game and posting evidence of it! Check the announcement post for full details of the challenge! So what's the deadline? As mentioned, this entire event is year-long, and as we started a bit late into January (oops), we're giving some grace periods! So we're giving from January 1st 2024, all the way until January 31st 2025 to get entries in for the challenge! After that, the badges officially go into lock-up, and the event is officially over! So if you have any games you finished up already starting from January 1st 2024, feel free to post them and we'll still honour them and add them to your tally! The 52 Game Challenge - Your Year Review! Someone else we're planning to do once the event is over - we're going offer everyone a review of what they managed to achieve throughout the year, and show off your stats! Basically, if you've seen the PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, and Steam summaries you get at the end of the year, it's essentially the same idea as that. We hope this will be a fun way to recap everyone's progress, and really show how far everyone came during the event! Leaderboard: We're also keeping a leaderboard here, showing how many games everyone has gotten under their belt! Two leaderboards will be kept, one for finished games, and one for completed games! Once you join the event, you'll be added in and your score updated whenever you submit a game! Finished Games Leaderboard: Current Leaderboard: 1. Failinhearts - 60 Games Finished 2. With so many rings, profile gifts, and all the exciting stuff we have to give out, and the potential fun of keeping track of how many games you've managed to finish and complete this year, I certainly hope you all have join and have fun, as we kick 2024 off in style!

Following the Surge event rerun, players will be able to unlock the all-new Dragonfire Sonic and Dragonclaw Tails. Dragonfire Sonic will be unlockable from January 30th to February 6th, 2024. Finally, a new Tails skin! And it does not disappoint! Dragonclaw Tails will be unlockable from February 6th to February 13th, 2024. A bit of a late start following two separate rerun events back-to-back, The Year of the Dragon event is looking pretty promising! What are your thoughts on these new skins?
  4. until
Announced today on the news tab, the Sinister Showdown event is making another rerun for a week following the Chrono Silver event. For those that have missed the event the previous times it was held, it is a team event where you’re matched into either Team Infinite or Team Mephiles, and battle for the highest number of points. During the event, either Mephiles or Infinite will appear as a AI Challenger randomly within races, granting a Challenger tier chest if you managed to come in first or second place during the race. As both Infinite and Mephiles are challenger tier characters, this will require 500 cards a piece to unlock them, but should be a easy enough feat with the challenger chests in place. Both Infinite and Mephiles are considered to be fairly top tier within the game, so don’t miss this chance to nab them if you haven’t already. Should also be a good chance to stockpile rings if you’ve been sitting on some characters to upgrade.
  5. Be sure to read all event details on the event page! All major event updates will be added here, please look forward to it!
  6. Streaming on Motobug Note: Please ensure you've read the opening post, and that you understand the rules before participating in the event, thanks! Making a return for another year running, join us for the grand reopening of the Mirage Express, as we come together aboard for a very special birthday celebration dedicated to everyone's favourite Blue Blur, celebrating with a huge musical extravaganza! Created as a musical event for SSMB eight years ago to celebrate the series' musical history right on time for both the anniversary of Sonic's creation, and local SSMB streaming channel - Motobug's anniversary! Eight years on, Sonic Musical Spectacular has become a yearly staple of the forum, and one we're happy to bring back for another year running with a brand new visual identity! Don't worry folks, Sonic isn't going to die this time! (We hope...) The event in of itself is a community based event where the members of Sonic Stadium all come together to fondly remember and celebrate the franchise's history of banger music by making song requests, all of which is compiled into a massive community playlist, and aired over a full weekend on Motobug for everyone on SSMB to listen to, including Sonic, SEGA, and fan works! As with past years, this event is being hosted by both myself and the other members of the Motobug crew, has been approved by both @Chris and @Dreadknux, and is being sponsored, and managed by @Strickerx5! As with past years, how the event operates and how to participate in it is pretty simple. The main purpose of the event is the members of SSMB celebrating the Sonic franchise's long-standing musical history by helping create a huge playlist of tracks, and listening to them live. In order to do this, every single member who participates in the event is given a total of six song requests to make use of, and as they use these request, the playlist found within this opening post will be updated with the requests. Every request will be accepted, provided they fall into the guidelines and a song list isn't maxed out, and will include almost every single aspect of Sonic with music (Licensed songs from the movie excluded), as well as SEGA and fan works. The six requests that a user has are split up as: 4 regular songs 1 remix song 1 wild card (Can be used for either a regular song or a remix, it's up to the user) There's more, however... FAVOURITE CHARACTER REQUESTS: This year however - there will be a new request: As part of our musical journey on the Mirage Express, we'll be meeting quite a few familiar faces, and we would like to recognise our contributors - so if you can, please name your favourite Sonic character, and when your songs show up in the stream this year, your character will appear alongside them!* *This will be limited to characters who show up in Murder of Sonic, but if things change, you can feel free to note both your favourite character in the game, as well as your favourite in general. Almost every single piece of Sonic media will be placed in the Song List section below, with 3-5 regular song slots (depending on popularity) along with 1-2 song remix slots in each one. Regular Song Slots are exactly what it says on the tin - the regular songs you see throughout the franchise. IE - Green Hill Zone, Open Your Heart, All of Me, Undefeatable, etc. The exception is games with different soundtracks that aren't different enough to warrant a second list (IE - Sonic 3's beta tracks, Colours Ultimate's remixed tracks). If you want these, be sure to specify them and we'll add them to the regular list. If you don't specify, we'll assume it's the original version. Remix Requests on the other hand are remixes, mash-ups and covers of a given Sonic song, and can either be fan-made (Silvagunner remixes, Tee Lopes' Sonic reimagined) , or official (Fist Bump - Edgy Remix). So as a example of how we'll lay out a song list: Sonic Frontiers: The major catch to all of this however is you can only use one request per game, in order to keep everything fair for everyone and allow for list variety, the only exception being is if it's a entirely different list (IE - Generations Console VS Generations 3DS, Sonic 1 VS Sonic 1 Master System), then it's fair game. Once a list fills up, it will also be closed, and there won't be extensions, so be sure to get your requests in ASAP if there's a song you really want in. The OP will also be updated as quickly as myself and Strick can handle it, so be sure to check both the song list in the OP, as well as any recent posts to ensure your request hasn't already been taken by someone else. If a duplicate is listed, or a list is closed, we'll contact you and let you know to change it. Next up is linking your songs. You do not have to link them, you just need to type them out, with remixes being the possible exception, but if you opt to do so, please use SSMB's hyperlink to text option (Type the name of the song out, highlight it, click the small chain symbol in the text box, copy/paste the link in), and please ensure it's a non-extended version of the song. Also ensure you're linking the correct version of your song (IE - original, not a Silvagunner or remix version) SEGA General also has a special rule in place where there's a limit of three songs per franchise, so if there's over three songs for a franchise like Persona, you'll be asked to change it if you request another Persona song. Finally as a special request, but not a necessity - please try to use all of your requests in one post if possible, as it makes it easier for us to keep track of badge progress as well as list updating. TL;DR: You have six total requests to use, split between 4 regular, 1 remix, 1 wild card (Choice between either remix or regular). State your favourite Sonic character + your favourite who appears in Murder of Sonic, and check the song list before making a request. Also, one song per song list per member, three songs per franchise in SEGA General. After we've compiled the full playlist and the submission deadline passes, we'll then air the entire playlist live on SSMB for everyone to listen to! Then, with the final playlist completed, you can listen to the playlist on Motobug on our air dates via a livestream with everyone's requests played live, along with showing who requested what! The event will be aired over a single weekend, over both Saturday and Sunday in two different sessions! Song Request Submission Deadline: Saturday July 23rd at 11:59pm EST/4:59am BST *Day 1 Airdate (1991 to 2006): Saturday August 12th at 8pm BST/4pm EST *Day 2 Airdate (2008 to 2023): Sunday August 13th at 8pm BST/4pm EST *Subject to change. Any changes will be announced in a new post. There's been minor changes this year, but feel free to check them out! As mentioned above, you can now state your favourite Sonic character, and we'll have them appear on the stream when your song is being played live! Sonic Origins now has a permanent list. Sonic Frontiers now has a permanent list. Sonic Prime has been given it's own song list. Game Gear has been split into multiple lists (Sonic 1/2, Sonic Chaos/Triple Trouble, Sonic Drift/Blast/Drift 2/Labyrinth, and Tails Sky Patrol/Tails Adventure! Several games and shows with version variants have been divided into their own lists! (Sonic X, Sonic 3D Blast, etc). Sonic Albums have now been given it's own song list. (IE - They Call Me Sonic, etc) The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog has now been given it's own song list. Sonic Superstars given a temporary list for it's limited song pool. A brand new set of badges are here for you to earn throughout the event! We want to make both your, and everyone's musical adventure on board the Mirage Express a fun, but safe one, so please be sure to read through all of the rules and follow them! All pretty obvious stuff, but important to know either way! Motobug/Sonic Stadium Rules: Sonic Musical Spectacular rules Q. What the heck is a Motobug?! A. Other than a very charming and debonair badnik, Motobug is SSMB's long-running unofficial Streaming Channel, run by a team of SSMB members, providing exclusive streams for all SSMB members to watch, including gaming events, gaming announcements, weekly shows, and much more. It will also be where the Musical Spectacular will be streaming on August 12th/August 13th. Q. Can songs from the standalone Sonic at the Olympic Games be requested? A. Yes - it'll count under the Mario & Sonic Olympic Series. Q. Sonic Colours Ultimate Remixes? A. They'll be counted as a regular request for Sonic Colours - you need to specify if you're requesting the Ultimate version, or else we'll mark it as the regular version of the song. Q. How about those Sonic 3 Beta tracks? A. Once again, they'll be counted as Sonic 3 tracks, simply specify which version you want - if it's the original, the beta, or the Origins version. Q. Do I need to use all my requests at once? A. It's not a rule, but ideally, if you can, it'd be much appreciated, as it ensures we can track your badge process properly, and makes it easier to add requests. That said, if you really are stuck for your requests, feel free to drop a few and come back to it. Q. Does covers count as remixes? A. Depends on the context. If the cover is an official version of a song that was originally written by the band covering it (I.E - Zebrahead's His World, Cashell's Un-Gravitify - it counts as an official song and therefore must be requested via a regular song request. If it's a cover long after the original by a different artist, but official - then it counts as a remix (I.E - Tee Lope's remix of Can You Feel the Sunshine). If it's a fan-made cover, it falls into a remix slot. Q. Why a limit on SEGA General? A. Based on feedback from the previous year, while SEGA General was a liked addition to the playlist, it ended up flooded with Persona requests. As such, we introduced a limit to ensure there's franchise diversity in the requests. Q. What's the deal with Mario songs for Mario & Sonic's catagory? A. We've made a special exception for the Mario & Sonic series due to the crossover nature of the franchise. It's only fair to allow the game to be fully represented, let that be through Sonic or Mario. Q. Sonic Symphony? A. Due to the massive popular demand we had for Symphony requests in the last two years after it aired, the Motobug team decided to keep it as a category. Q. Can I show off my own remix at the event? A. Of course! Feel free to fire me a PM and we'll discuss it! Q. I wanna request some songs that haven't been shown off before, can I have a link to the previous events to check their request lists? A. Here ya go: Sonic Musical Spectacular (2016) Sonic Musical Spectacular 2 (2017) Sonic Musical Spectacular 3 (2018) Sonic Musical Spectacular 4 (2019) Sonic Musical Spectacular 5 (2020) Sonic Musical Spectacular 2021 Sonic Musical Spectacular 2022 Q. I didn't get my achievements! What gives??? A. Staff will be marking and keeping record of achievements as the event goes along, but mistakes happen - if you haven't received your rewards after the event end, let us know. Q. Why are certain games/series mixed together? A. This is due to their lack of popularity in previous years. As such, we placed them together for the sake of tidiness. That said, if there's demand, we will split them out. Q. Superstars doesn't have music, why's it got a list? A. As things can change and more things can be revealed in a month, we like to keep a temporary list open in case more music comes out and people wanna request it. Q. Why can I only have Murder of Sonic characters as my favourites? A. We wish to keep things on theme to our chosen style this year, and as a new feature, we wanna test the waters. Rest assured, if people like it, we'll open it up to more characters next year! I will update the FAQ further if need be! Thanks to Sonic Stadium's new achievement system, we're happy to announce a grand total of FOUR different prizes you can win as a memento of your musical trip aboard the Mirage Express! The more you take part in the grand activity we've organised, the higher your pass will become! (Don't worry, we'll let you keep all of your tickets, even if you earn a higher tiered one, just don't throw them onto the Chao Market). Our brand new artist - @Emperor Robrainiac worked incredibly hard on the designs for the achievements this year, and they'll make a wonderful addition to anyone's achievements list, so be sure to go for the highest tier and gather as many keepsakes of your time with the Mirage Express as possible! Punched Ticket - Used any one song request - Stylin'! Plane Ticket - Used any two requests - Radical! Express Ticket - Used three requests, including at least one regular song request, and one remix request - Awesome! And for everyone that participates in the event fully, and uses all of their requests, we've got a very special VIP ticket with your name on it! Golden Ticket - Used every single last one of your requests - Rockin! So there you have it, Sonic Stadium! Four incredible achievements that would be a welcome addition to anyone's trophy cabinet! We'll be keeping track on everyone's progression through the event and will be rewarding these badges based on the listed conditions being fulfilled! But what if your favourite character is a red echidna guardian, or a yellow fox mechanic? No worries! If you complete the conditions of any of the higher tiered badges, you'll attain every single badge below it! So if you attain the Super Sonic ticket, you'll get complimentary copies of the Knuckles, Tails, and Sonic tickets as well, and so on, so forth! (Just don't tell the boss we've been handing out free tickets...) This here's the song list, and where you'll find the entire community created playlist! As said previously, myself and Strick will be updating this as quickly as we can in order to keep this up to date, so make sure to check here and ensure your song hasn't already been requested, or that a song list hasn't been fully filled up! If you're not sure this has been updated either, be sure to check recent posts! Of note once again is the SEGA General category, which allows you to pick songs from any SEGA franchise (NOTE: limited to 3 per franchise). If a game list is marked with (CLOSED) - this means it's list has been fully filled up and no more requests will be accepted for it, so you'll need to pick another game/show. 7. It's been about a week and a half since the second DLC for Sonic Frontiers dropped, and I wanted to celebrate this month by kicking off a brand new Community Event and some new DLC Achievements! Because SEGA's not going to do it, apparently. We had a great response to the first DLC Community Event, which was posted in the Sonic Chat forum here, so I'm hoping you guys will enjoy earning these Achievements too! As a little treat, I'm also opening the Achievements Vault and bringing back the Community Achievements for the Sights, Sounds and Speed DLC as well. If you didn't earn these Achievements the first time around, you now have a rare opportunity to complete the Sonic Frontiers DLC set (if you have already earned these Achievements, you can't earn them again - focus on the new challenges instead)! ALL Achievements can be earned between today [July 3rd] until the end of the month [July 31st]. We won't be super strict with the deadlines, but generally speaking once we get to August 1st, you're outta time! So make sure you get these in early. Event Details There are FOUR new Achievements available relating to the newly-launched 'Sonic's Birthday Bash' Sonic Frontiers DLC, and FOUR returning Achievements available relating to the first 'Sights, Sounds and Speed' Sonic Frontiers DLC. Sonic Stadium members are eligible to earn all eight Achievements until 23:59 BST (UK Time) on July 31. Users who have already earned Achievements from the 'Sights, Sounds and Speed' Community Event will not be eligible for earning them a second time. DO NOT post any Achievement-earning images or posts in the old Sights, Sounds and Speed Topic - we will not see them and you will not earn your Achievements. Follow the proof guidelines below for each achievement and post a screengrab of your gameplay as proof, using your PC or consoles 'snapshot' functionality. Post your images to this topic and clearly label the Achievement that each image relates to. Achievements do not 'stack' - meaning that you cannot earn more than one achievement for the same proof/snapshot. Provide a different proof/image for each Achievement you wish to earn. Achievements need to be awarded manually by us to you, so unlocking these badges won't be immediate. If you've posted here, we've definitely seen it - so please be patient. General chat about either DLC pack is fine in this topic - we want you to have fun! Just make sure to clearly label your posts if you are sharing Achievement-unlocking images/material, just so it's easier for us to spot them! New Achievements for Sonic's Birthday Bash HBD Sonic 2023: Take a photo of Sonic in his birthday outfit on a party-filled Starfall Islands! How to Earn: Make sure the settings for Sonic Frontiers is set so that Sonic, his friends, Koco and Starfall Islands are all decked out in Birthday or Party outfits (if you launch the game for the first time since downloading the DLC, the toggle will appear for you before you even start the game - handy!). Then, use Photo Mode to take a snapshot of Sonic while wearing his cool costume. Post that snapshot in this topic. Koco Kabana: Collect a special new Party Koco and take a photo with them! How to Earn: Make sure your settings on Sonic Frontiers is set so that Koco are wearing Party outfits. Find and collect any of the special new Koco hidden on the open zones, then find a nice area to stand and wait until your Koco appear. We want to see a Koco in costume - make sure your snapshot includes one of these Koco, and then share it in this topic. Link-Up Play: Try any Action Chain challenge and take a photo of your resulting score (any Rank) How to Earn: Find an Action Chain challenge within an open zone (they will be marked with a red timer icon, like the one in the badge above). Use your Cyloop ability around it to start an Action Chain challenge. You have a limited amount of time to perform as many trick and special actions as possible - the more you do, the higher your rank and score. When the timer runs out, take a snap of the results screen, and then post that snapshot in this topic. Any Rank will earn this Achievement but, do you really want to share with the Sonic community that you could only be bothered to achieve a D Rank? Age in Dog Years: Collect at least 32 Chili Dogs during a Starfall Event and take a photo of your collection How to Earn: Make sure your settings in Sonic Frontiers is set so that everything is in Party/Birthday mode. You need to wait for a Starfall Event to take place within the open zone you're in. Share it in this topic. Returning Achievements for Sights, Sounds & Speed Starfall Snapper: Take a photo in Sonic Frontiers' Photo Mode and share it with the Community! Any Rank is eligible. Audio Archaeologist: Unlock a song by collecting Sound Memory tokens and share your discovery with the Community How to Earn: Unlock a new song to the game's new Jukebox feature (none of the 13 available starting songs count). Switch to the song during gameplay, and take a snapshot of the game with the song menu selected (and the unlocked song highlighted) using your PC/console's screenshot feature. Post the image in this topic. Community Calendar Event In case you wanted to follow the Community Calendar Event we've set up for this, we've linked it above. It'll be present on the sidebar on the site as well as the main Events section too so you can be reminded every so often too. Happy hunting, everyone!
  8. Sonic the Hedgehog has come back to multiplayer game Fall Guys, and this time around the selection of wacky bean costumes based on Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are available for players on multiple game platforms. Not only that, but Dr. Eggman and Super Sonic also appears to have joined the disaster party. Fall Guys developer Mediatonic announced the re-collaboration earlier today with the above image and the phrase, "i can't believe this is happening, sonic and knuckles are coming back and this time they're bringing BUDDIES (kinda)". Quite. We've covered the release of the Sonic, Tails and Knuckles costumes when they were originally released for the PS4-only release of the game, but now that Fall Guys is available as a free-to-play title on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC too, it offers a fresh chance for non-PlayStation owners to get in on the SEGA action. This is also the first time we've seen a Dr. Eggman and Super Sonic costume, and they look just as adorable as the Triple Threat outfits. A photo of the game's microtransaction store (published by a Twitter user) suggests the rollout for the new skins, as well as the pricing for each. The Sonic costumes will be available from 11th August until 16th August, costing 800 Show Bucks each. You can get a pair of costumes for a bit of a discount, but Super Sonic and a special emote will need to be purchased solo whatever you do. We're looking forward to seeing a hundred Eggmen run around the colourful world of Fall Guys very soon! Let us know what you think of the costumes in the comments below!
  9. Mediatonic's ever popular (and now free-to-play) bumbling bean platforming-royale now has new Sonic cosmetics and level challenges. Previously, the game offered limited time events for the Knuckles and Sonic costumes. Both suits have returned to the game's store, alongside costumes for Tails, Dr. Robotnik, and Super Sonic, and a "You're Too Slow" toe tapping emote. The surprisingly brief event will run until August 15th, so if you're after these cosmetics and levels, you'll need to sprint! It is not clear at this point if the costumes, emote, or levels will remain available and in rotation after the August 15 event deadline. The official trailer shows off the the new costumes as well as the emote and Green Hill styled level challenges, where players are collecting rings while passing through gates and bouncing on springs. Promotional (free) missions will let the player collect gems to unlock smaller Sonic rewards, such as a name plate, a checkerboard and ring player skin, and Sonic's iconic shoes. In paid content, each new character costume is 800 Show-Bucks for each individually or 1,200 for two-character packs, including a Sonic/Knuckles pack and a Tails/Eggman pack. The "You're Too Slow" emote is 400 Show-Bucks. (Note: The prices for the "Dynamic Duo" pack appears lower than the expected price in the screenshot due to us having the Knuckles costume unlocked during a previous event) As a reminder, Show-Bucks can be purchased (the most cost-efficient all-Sonic-content purchase being $19.99 + 7.99 USD for 3800 Show-Bucks total at time of writing) or earned through the paid Season Pass (which costs 950 Show-Bucks, but offers up to 1,500 Show-Bucks across the entire season). If you don't already follow our YouTube or Twitch channels, be on the lookout for upcoming streams of the new content before it dashes off into the sunset!
