  1. So we've discussed the problems of 06, We've discussed what we wanted out of it. But what i really want to know is what would have happened if 06 had not existed. (And no, saying it didn't exist does not count.)We already know it wrote itself out of existence. But Critic wise and Gameplay wise what would have happened if sega had not experimented with gameplay using this game. Although if it didn't exist would that mean that there would be a alternate timeline where it did exist, Causing that alternate timeline to have the game which has time holes Creating that version of generations which has crisis city which opens up more time holes. It really is hard to explain. Just tryin to make a joke there. But really what do you thing would have happened?
  2. An analysis of the story of Sonic 06. Some abusive substance may or may not be necessary. While I very rarely find these kinds of things to be believable in any way, I do find them fun to read when I do cross one. ---yes, this is a parody people--- --- Nestled in the vein of a high-octane action flick, this humble story starts with a little death. At the end of Sonic Adventure 2, the two main characters didn't succeed in saving the world. In fact, all future titles show the characters’ stay in purgatory. After the battle, everyone slowly forgets who they are and fall into routine habits while perpetually repeating the same story arcs over and over, never experiencing déjà vu. The characters think that they are in control of their own destiny, but rails coax them into whatever trials await them. Though they existed in life, they become more and more prominent in death. Only when the characters have accomplished their own vague goals may they leave. The game Shadow the Hedgehog is actually about the protagonist questioning his surroundings and eventually finding out about his own death all while being morally tallied. Sonic 06 is the only game we actually witness the story reset its self before submitting the characters to more trials. We are told that the kingdom of Soleana is grand and full of life, but exploring the city yourself, you find that it is this forlorn, empty, place with citizens so obsessed with it's glorious history that they are blind to the age and decay. Even the Captain of the police force is so insecure that he needs Sonic to tell him who he is before the day can continue. Suddenly it is clear as to why they decided to base Soleanna on a city that is slowly sinking into the sea. “Look upon my Kingdom Valley, and despair.” Silver is the embodiment of the “black eyes crowd” who tries to go back in time to change things to the way they once were, even if it means killing Sonic himself. When he does get close to accomplishing something, he starts to over think things and debates with himself. Elise represents the “green eyes crowd”, impressed by pretty colors and ideas rather than character and pacing. She trusts Sonic unconditionally and expects constant satisfaction, even pouting when Sonic says he will leave for a short while. This represents the fans’ constant hunger for annual releases. The Duke of Soleana struggles to re-obtain past glory only to lose half of his staff while tampering with things beyond his control. He tries to fix his problems by placing decision power in the hands of the "green eyes" and the "black eyes". The Duke quickly leaves the world partially through the production with only a few pre recorded navi messages to help those he left behind. By doing this, he is relieved of duty and his spirit is released from purgatory. This is why we do not see him after time "rebooted" its self. Of course erasing the past means forgetting any critically acclaimed titles with it. Goodbye Blaze! Omega hates worthless consumer models, he demands craftmanship! (Albeit with a rocket launcher.) Under the hood he’s actually a tired, begrudged employee struggling to maintain quality while at the mercy of his incapable, egotistical, and difficult-to-contact boss, Eggman. When anyone finds it necessary to criticize the great Robotnik in person, one must sift through a series of Eggman doppelgangers with no authority. In the beginning, Omega is assigned to do demeaning tasks that do not suit his talents, and the robots paced in higher positions are obviously not as capable as him. He revolts against his superior only to have his actions unnoticed between the political strife and the turmoil among the sea of other robots. He is the most recent of a series of similar employees before him from the living world that were all either sacked or ran away to escape the iron grip. Their duties, abandoned to be dealt with by the next in line. Omega struggles to annihilate all things that lessen the impact of the story in progress, but reaches his limits trying to locate them every time. Upon finding what he is looking for, he is usually forced to drive his attention elsewhere as he learns the thing he’s chasing is so deeply rooted to the project that nothing can be done. By Sonic 06, Omega’s energy on its last leg. His movements are slowed down to a crawl, and at this point he decides to try and influence things indirectly through perseverance. Mephiles is the god of shipping; indirectly pairing two characters up in a manner that contradicts the duo’s past behavior. All this just to murder one of them for the sake of drama and somehow start the apocalypse by doing so. Fortunately, a high school setting wasn’t involved. He loves to separate any kind of relationships that he did not create himself, especially parental ones. Though he existed long before the imprisonment, he credits his muse, Shadow the hedgehog, for imprisoning him and attributing to his later release and rampage. As Shadow’s living fear of parenthood, Mephiles also forces the career savvy Shadow to abandon business obligations and submit to a horrifying future that has already been determined for him. In said future, “junior” creates a wedge between Shadow’s friends and makes Shadow lose his freedom along with his job position. While Shadow outwardly rejects the image of his son, Rouge on the other hand mysteriously develops displaced maternal instincts; Packing cross-dimensional emerald care packages for Shadow, worrying about his safety, and responding with anger and disbelief when someone says that her poor Shadow-kins doesn’t do well in the future. Iblis represents porn, to which the current Sonic triggers. The black eyes tries to destroy it to no avail, green eyes tries to repress it, and Mephiles wants to look at it. The Iblis thrives wherever there is a franchise that has fallen from grace and always has a place to hide, no matter how many of its snakes and tentacles you destroy.
