Thoughts on Sonic Super Stars and it's level design

I was personally blown away by this game. It has to be my favorite, stand alone 2d sonic game. Not counting compilations in my statement, as Origins is currently my favorite Sonic game just because it is a well compiled archive of Sonic History.

But the last act where time is being rewound and you have to back track to the beginning of the stage was a masterpiece, and I've never seen that done in a game before.
