Finally, you can see how Sonic fared against the Deadly other three of Six during his capture back in the first issue! Like the Mega Man counterpart, this book features a slew of veteran talent and fresh blood at the helm!

If you mean from the cover I think Sonic’s foot is actually on Zavok’s other horn.

The art in this one looks substantially better than the art in the Mega Man edition!

This is the most interesting thing to happen in Worlds Unite so far. At least in my opinion.

I’ve never been too into Archie comics, but segments like this really prove how great they’ve been lately. I seriously appreciate this crossover and the FANTASTIC character interaction. 😀 They also have used the Zeti in a really menacing way. Literally, I love seeing the previews for this comic.

Sticks is after the broom, right?

That.. Actually makes a lot of sense.

It seems that they’re making this whole count as much as possible. But for me, it’s just more money to spend and another hike up to Midtown Comics. I just want to collect every last story component to this SECOND crossover and be done with it. Why, because by the time I heard about the retcon, I just started issue 260, and I wanted to end things on 270 (an unofficial milestone) in addition to the price increase to $3.99, but then I got sucked into an arc that was not only loosely based on one of my favorite Sonic games, but introduced Honey (a character that SEGA has all but forsakened), then the crossover hype started, where Sonic Boom’s main cast (save for Sticks) was thankfully downplayed. So I decided to end things after that. Personally, this whole second crossover felt like a mandated cashgrab just to promote Sonic Boom and actual property they still have rights to.

Oh, and apparently, nothing can fix Sonic’s damaged history. Not Worlds Unite, not the end of Dark Gaia, nothing. All because Penders is a greedy bastard who’d rather take a bulk of the comic’s entire history and its characters back and troll angry fans with nothing but a BS spin-off with ugly reimagined characters an outdated premise that will never happen. The only real closure to all this mess is Lost Hedgehog Tales and whatever a group of talented fans decided to do with what was aborted.

So, in other words, everything they’re doing with the comics is working perfectly on you and doing its job despite all the complaining. I think this round goes to Archie then.

It’s not a “BS spin-off”, it’s a way for the comics to continue without being completely shut down, leaving the fans with nothing. Unfortunately the only way for that to happen was to think of a way for the world and its inhabitants to have a major revamp and a large quantity of the inhabitants to either disappear or be replaced. Honestly, I think they handled the problem perfectly. They could just as easily have either ended it as soon as the Penders crap happened or just had everything change for no reason whatsoever, at least they had a very reasonable and well thought-out explanation for the massive change.
You may not like what they did but I, for one, am grateful they even bothered to attempt to continue it in some shape or form. Kudos to them for keeping things going despite the immense hardships.
I also happen to like the redesigns, I personally think a lot of them actually look better and more modern instead of keeping their admittedly outdated looks while still keeping the overall looks and trademarks they’re known for (Sallys hair and Nicole handheld unit, Antoines sword, Bunnies bionics, Uncle Chucks overall look complete with eyebrows and moustache, Rotors strap thingy across his body and overall look, Nicoles colour scheme etc.).
