Tell me about it. This is the only Sonic game (or Non-Sonic game, depending on your POV) that has yet to be touched. Oh well we’re stuck with the emu (or the physical copy if you’re one of the lucky few that still have it).

What about SEGASonic too? (that arcade game that’s INCREDIBLY hard to find anywhere) I’d love to play it but the only arcade Sonic remake we ever get is Sonic the Fighters which, while enjoyable for a short period, does get dull very quickly. I get that’s because it’s an arcade game therefore isn’t designed to be played for long periods but this simple fact is why I’m baffled as to why it keeps getting remade on platforms it’s clearly not suited for.

The whole trackball thing I can understand (but still). But they should’ve found away around Knuckles Chaotix by now. My guess is that Iizuka must be emotionally traumatized by that game (why else would he retcon three of its member and cut off any affiliation with Knuckles (Chaotix Caper even has Knuckles not wanting anything to do with them)). I call bull on the whole thing.

Oh and rereleasing a game doesn’t exactly make it a remake, but we do need the HD version (featuring Honey) to come to the Wii U.

It is a remake, not a rerelease. They added Honey as a playable character (without hacks) and an online vs mode. They also upscaled it to HD. That qualifies it as a remake.

I also kinda get the tracker ball thing but nowadays we have touchscreens for that. WiiU and 3DS can use their respective touch screens for it, Vita and PS4 can use their touch pads (much like Touch My Katamari on the Vita did).

I’m going to say no. This is going to be like the Sonic 1 3D that is already out and even that didn’t have the extra goodies that the Retro Engine version (android/iOS version) have.

What do you mean? If anything prevented it from being a success (which nothing has, to my knowledge) or did something happen to it recently that I’m also unaware of?

For Sonic Jam it would be the Sonic World portion of the game and not the games as we already have umpteen million iterations of each one. Sonic Xtreme is happening, but it’s going to be unofficial as Sega is not working on it (its being handeled by the fans).

I would crap my pants if they did Ristar in 3D.

Actually, anyone who has ever even bothered to look up or play the previous 3D Classics would know it’s not a 3D remake. No one has ever said it is one here, either, per se. We’re just glad Sonic 2’s getting the same treatment some of SEGAs other classics have now.
