My Little Mash-Up Monday: Music is Magic

Sorry readers, but with me around and this particular subject’s ever-growing popularity on the internet, this was bound to happen at some point! Whether you hate it, love it, or tolerate it, things have just gotten 20% cooler around here, because it is PONY TIME today on The Sonic Stadium!

This week’s Mash-Up Monday brings you a grand total of four mash-ups, all of which combining music under both Sonic the Hedgehog and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic franchises.

The first two mash-up the actual music from the show. Planet WinterWisp sees a lovely combination of Planet Wisp and Winter Wrap Up, while Escape from the Cutie sports the memorable City Escape theme alongside the delectable lyrics from Cupcakes.

The other two mash-up fan original music from the ever-growing repertoire of the brony community! Speedway to Good Future vs. Sonic Rainboom is exactly as it says on the tin, being a combination of Stardust Speedway’s Good Future US theme and iamnotacleverpony’s Sonic Rainboom. Beyond the Ice Cap is an instrumental arrangement of WoodenToaster’s Beyond Her Garden mixed with Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘s ever popular Ice Cap theme.

All of that being said, ladies, gentlecolts, gentlehogs, enjoy!

Oh, yeah… I shouldn’t be surprised. Even Sonic Paradox has created an entire redub series out of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on top of their Sonic F series. Seriously, guys, there’s nothing wrong with posting things that relate to both ponies and Sonic on a SONIC-based website. What, you think ponies are childish and girly or something? That is hardly the case. In fact, it isn’t the case at all. Don’t be judging something you know nothing about. If you don’t like it, fine. But you should know at least a few facts about something before you attack it for being something it isn’t. What with the ponies beating the crap out of monsters, waging war against buffalo and firing huge laser blasts at giant, reality-bending entities, I think its safe to say we can all get along with our own interests. Seriously, if you can come to like something with colorful HEDGEHOGS, you might even find yourself liking these ponies in essentially the same way.
