Well, it took a while, but we’ve finally found time to get up the Christmas decorations here at TSS. Hope you like the layout! This place shall be henceforth referred to for the next few weeks as The Ice Cap Stadium! Or something! You love it, it’s everyone’s favourite level from Sonic 3. And if it isn’t, why not? It better not be Marble Garden, I swear to God.
Now, you’ve probably noticed already, but this new festive feel brings more than a different colour scheme. The design of the site has been updated slightly, to make things a bit more friendly and easier to navigate on the whole. The Top 3 “Hot Stories” feature we used to have on the home page were incredibly useful and popular, so we’ve expanded it to five and placed them above the content. So no matter where you are on the site, you can easily check out the latest breaking stories on TSS.
The home page has returned to the ‘blog’ style layout of previous years, but don’t worry – I know lots of you really love that list style that we previously had. Lists have been integrated into our archives system – if you want to filter all our content to just the Sonic News headlines, simply click ‘News’ in the main menu up there, and all the latest will be displayed as you remember it.
For the home page changes, the reason we went back was because lists were great for providing content quickly (which is why we didn’t get rid of them) but they lacked soul, man. Especially when one of us wants to do one of our fan-gasming (or fan-slamming) updates or blog posts, it doesn’t really work as well when it’s arranged in a list form.
There will be more tweaks in the coming weeks – mostly to the sidebar and other pages as I finally get a week off of work and get round to putting some old content back on the site – but I hope you enjoy what you see so far, and I hope the changes are useful to you. If they are (or if they aren’t), do let me know in the comments area below!
Finally, let me jump in first and officially wish all of our readers, and every other fellow Sonic fan, a very Merry Christmas in advance. We’ll have plenty of prizes and festive contests coming up, so stay tuned!

Everyone loves Christmas. There shouldn’t be a reason not to, unless regards to the 3 things I just said^.
If it makes you feel any better, I told my parents to stop giving me presents, because I reailze that I don’t want them. Christmas isn’t about the dang presents, its about being w/your family. Many people say they love CHRISTmas, but really, those people are just in it for the gifts :/
I don’t know if your problem is again, one of the three, or maybe a personal issue that happened during a holiday season, but keep your “hating” comments to yourself.

Well, your opinion of “Everybody loves Christmas” isn’t that true, people don’t need to like it, they are free to do whatever they want, if you disagree with what I’m saying that it’s perfectly fine. But not everybody loves Christmas, with their own reasons to not like it
And “keep your hateful comments to yourself” is a little harsh from my point of view.
Just my two cents.
@Blue Wisp – You’re right. Not everyone likes Christmas, I should’ve said a lot/most people like Christmas. When he said “I hate this time of year”, I just had to get defensive about it. Please do not think of my last sentence(of my previous post) to be harsh.

Don’t have hate inside of you. Just replace “hate” with “I don’t like” or “dislike”. Don’t hate 
You may think those words are “gay” or not cool, but they are. If you are really mad, then just say “I really don’t like Christmas” or ” I seriously, seriously do not like Christmas(even though it is incorrect grammar)” Trust me, you will feel a lot better if you use different words.

@C.J – Y’know I wouldn’t mind the Sonic 4 series to be in 16-bit. I would totally buy them, as long as it has good platforming, and cutscenes just like the originals
Its easy for SEGA to pull it off. If SEGA was making 16-bit Sonic games, imagine how many games they can make in a year! Maybe up to 3, lol.

Agreed i wouldn’t mind either it would actually look good, all features added it would be so cool but still it’s good it’s just the physics that DIMPS need to work on. Classic Sonic worked okay in Generations
I played Sonic 4 Episode 1 Demo on my friend’s Xbox it was actually okay I couldn’t play the whole game cause I don’t have XLBA so I guess I’m gonna be missing out on S4E2 too oh well there’s still the next Sonic game fo 2012 
In the meantime I have Sonic Generations 3DS to play just as soon as a buy a 3DS and London Olympics as a present
I just hate the religion and everything it represents. I think Christmas is crap, sure show your love for you family/friends/loved ones, but do you really need some arbitary holiday seaon to do that? Do it all the time!
Just hate religious so and so’s pushing stuff upon people, especially when the season was originally a PAGAN holiday which they stole and re-worked, then wiped out the Pagans.
Be happy all year round, and LOVE Marle Garden cuz it is awesome! :p

I do agree on some points and I respect your opinion. Christmas it’s not only about loved ones it’s also a special event for people who are religious also celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ during the winter time
I think It’s good Christmas only happens once a year and not every day as it’s a special occasion set at the perfect time where everyone gets together again, families and friends to rejoice and have fun as not all families see each other all the time. 2011 has had some ups and downs I’ve been happy most of the time 
next year could be even better.
